Who I am
This website belongs to Mark Lamers (Area Before Property). For questions about your data you can get in touch through the contact form.
Contact form and matchmaking
If you fill in the contact form or the matchmaking form, I receive what you enter (such as your name, email address, phone number, the island you are interested in and what you are looking for). I only use it to answer you and, if you'd like, to introduce you to someone from my network. Messages are sent through the Web3Forms service. I don't share your data with anyone else without you knowing.
WhatsApp and calendar
If you click the WhatsApp button, the conversation runs through WhatsApp and WhatsApp's terms apply. The calendar for booking a call is provided by Calendly. It loads as soon as you open the contact page, which makes your IP address visible to Calendly.
Video and maps
A YouTube video only loads when you click it, and then in YouTube's privacy-friendly mode. The maps load map imagery from OpenFreeMap, which makes your IP address visible to that service.
Cookies and storage
The site uses no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics. There is one functional cookie that remembers your language choice (one year). Your browser also stores whether the sound is on or off and whether you dismissed a notice. That stays on your own device.
Hosting
The website is hosted by an external hosting service. It may briefly keep technical data such as your IP address to make the site work and keep it secure.
Retention and your rights
I don't keep your data longer than needed to handle your request. You can always ask which data I hold, have it corrected or have it deleted. To do that, get in touch through the contact form.
